Have had SHO for 2 + weeks, haven't been able to fix EATC problems. The blower fan stays on all the time. If I push off or move the thumb wheel for the fan, the fan motor will change speed but ends up on high. The fan will not shut off, even when I pull the EATC out. I pulled the blower control module from behind the glove box, but this seems to be an electrical problem, and that unit has no electrical connections on it. There must be a electrical switch for the fan motor? The EATC that came with the car shows no error codes. The EATC I got from the J-yard flashs between error codes 03 (in car temp sensor open or short) and 04 (ambient temp sensor open or short). Seems neither of these would affect fan operation. Unless someone can tell me different I think the next move is to locate the fan blower switch and change that. I hate just swaping components until I find the problem, that wastes alot of time and money. Haven't located a shop manual yet, makes it alot harder.

UPDATE:

I cleaned all the plugs on all the connectors. Now I get no error codes on either EATC's. I also found that what I thought was the blower control unit was in fact not. I found the blower control unit under a panel under the glovebox. It is in horrible condition. Lots of corrision on the circut board. The heatsink is corroded. I think I have found the problem. Now to find a replacement.

All of a sudden EATC's aplenty. Got the old one, works but looks like s**t. Got one off E-bay, 20$, 3 cracked buttons. Got one from a 98 Merc from j-yard, 65$ I can modify the faceplate to work. Got one from a 93 Lincolin from another j-yard, 50$ perfect. Im keeping the 2 with the cracked buttons, I can use the merc faceplate, its not a direct swap, but it can be done. The perfect one is going on e-bay
