My 2014 SHO had a fender-bender last week - low impact, my fault, made worse by the fact I managed to not only rear end a truck, but one with a trailer hitch/ball installed - zero damage to his hitch or truck, but I had to have my lower front bumper entirely replaced as well as a radiator support. Car looked good after repair, but I noticed (by the time I got home) that it seemed to have significantly less power as well as an odd intake/turbo noise.
I thought something related to the turbo or intake system may of been damaged as well, but hadn't noticed the lack of power or odd noise before the cosmetic repairs. After a couple of days of driving I started digging around underhood to see if I could find (with my limited mechanical skill) anything out of place. Didn't take long to find a disconnected hose at top right of engine, shown in attached pic. I can only assume the body repair work guys disconnected it for some reason and didn't get it back on after - sloppy work.
After reconnecting hose, power is back to normal and noise is gone.
So....
1. I assume this is a hose from one/both of the turbos into the engine?
2. The car was driven ~100 miles with this hose disconnected. Any long-term worries from this?
3. Seemed odd this didn't throw a code?
4. Looking into the engine side of where this hose attaches, I found a fine sheen of oil with a couple of drops. In an engine with 94k miles on it, is some oil blowby thru turbos "normal"? Any worries seeing that?
