On the passenger side rear of the engine compartment there is a single wire pigtail with a cap on it near the camshaft position sensor. That is the tachometer test lead. I used this wire as the source for my aftermarket tach/shift light. The pigtail to the Intake Temp Sensor is the opposite sex to the tach test lead and I just robbed one off a spare harness to complete my installation.

I've always wondered what that wire was for. I tapped into the tach signal LB wire second one down from the top on the rear DIS connector.
