Just a quick questions...where would I buy differential pins? Any local parts store sell them? Also, input shaft seal is a dealer part only or do parts stores sell? Thanks in advance.

Seals are available at parts stores, Timkens are the lowest price.

What do you refer to as pins? The actual roll pins or the pinion shafts? Roll pins can be found at local hardware stores and pinion shafts are not available anywhere.

I am refering to the roll pins. That is if those are the pins that should be replaced whenever taking the tranny apart.

If your differential hasn't exploded, those are the roll pins you are talking about. I have some stainless steel ones for cheap, if you can't seem to find any. :thumb:

If you are taking it apart i would use transfer punches instead of rolled pins, just went throught the whole exploded tranny game.

We used a transfer punch, drove them in and staked the holes over to keep them from walking out, got photos of them to just not availible ATM will post later

when my diff pin finally blew through the case i was just cruising down the interstate. i noticed it felt like it was slipping a couple days prior, was probably just the pin hitting the case.

if that makes you cry you should have seen my crank pulley from P.O. not tightening crank nut enuff, Grove in crank pulley was V-ed out and key was almost sheered from pulley rocking back and forth on crank, Luckily a busted water hose save me from that demise since we had shroud pulled off we decide to change T belt cause was unknown when last changed, and you could rock pulley back and forth with your hand

Quaife is the best way to go. Not only does it make your diff bullet proof, your car will handle much more like a RWD when you power out of the corners. IMHO the Quiafe is the top 3 mods to do.
1. Y-pipe for MTX
2. Subframe connectors
3. Quaife.
