i picked up 12 of these today.. make sure you get this number that is on the injector 0280155715 they are light blue but also they only come on the duhtech motors and there is 2 different kinds.. make sure its a early duhtech motor and double check the connector make sure its not the tiny plug with 2 little wire terminals on the injector... make sure its the fat one the SHO uses.

EDIT: another clue to it being the right one is they correct one will use a metal clip to hold the plug on.. ill post pics of them when they are done in their ultrasonic bath

i havent installed them on the car yet because i am giving them a ultrasonic bath.. i plan to on probley tuesday ill test them out before and after and i also got a wideband on the car so ill know how it behaves if they are safe and what not.

this difference shouldnt be bad its only like 1.3 lbs difference and worst case it would be a tad richer over stock injectors

EV6 is the body style which has no effect on the actual use of the injector.

the impedance is the same as stock injectors, and flow rate is slightly higher, the length and other dimentions are the same as well as the plug being the same.

big problem with using different injectors besides the size issues is impedance. if you run low impedance injectors on a car for high impedance you will fry the injector. if you try the other way around it will not run and possibly heat up as well.

a example is my jeep 4.0 had the fat body injectors and i upgraded it to the slim ev6 style injectors and i must say it picked up a new pair after the upgrade

If you want to run low-impedance injectors in a car designed for high-impedance, you can use a resistor box inline with the injectors. Not an ideal solution, but it's good enough for OEMs to use, so it does work.

I know you can get resistor boxes from a turbo DSM, not sure what other cars also had them.

i will need to modify a few things to get these to work.. the ********* seals that sit in the heads and hold the injectors center. the center part will need opened up some to get it to hold the injector.

also the top o rings that go in the rail, i will need to find a different size to get it to slip in since they use the fat o rings and the rails are designed to use the tiny ones that slide inside the rail.
basicly i need to find a o ring in the middle...

other wise they will work. but i am currently working on making the wiring harness for the chrysler COPs so this might get throw on the back burner for now.

What are the correct O-Rings to use for fuel contact? Are they the "Viton" O-Rings?

Reason I ask is that Harbor Freight sells a box of assorted Viton O-rings for a pretty cheap price.

yeah i know but i actually got one of those containers of o rings and it dont have the right size o rings.

i think its gonna be some special size because the fat o rings that came with the jeep style or newer style for example are just to much and the SHO ones are just to small so its one thats right in the middle.

im hoping i get to play with this again this sunday since i havent had much time.. yesterday i spent most of the day installing gears and a locker in my jeep.. well most of the day finding parts i needed. then not finding what i needed had to install bent pinion shims back in.

gotta love the parts stores they never carry anything you need..
i have a jeep cherokee which they made millions so its super common and not to mention the axles been under almost every other car and brand on the road. yet they dont carry pinion shims or carrier shims..

if i drove a POS honda i could find everything i need i bet.

Viton is rated for fuel . The black o rings that come in the harbor frieght red box's are NOT fuel rated.

Go to a real parts store not made in china HF . A good place will have a HUGE box with every size oring imaginable inside. I just went through this again on my modified 36's a few days ago.

I went with the 48s because I need more fuel and I would have the room to play with injector timing. I may also make a nice NO2 tune someday where I can purely use injector to supply the fuel. FYI I have gotten the 48s up to just shy of the 50% DC at 12.5:1.

Makes sense, I get up around 95% DC with my high comp, cammed. stock injectored 3.3.
