If your vacuum system is working correctly, when the IAC is unplugged, the car should die, at least that's what I understand about it. I agree with the above, almost sounds like it is an IAC issue. I am dealing with almost the reverse of what you are. Mine has a vacuum leak, won't stay running with the IAC plugged in. Unplugged, it chugs, and sounds like a motorcycle out the exhaust, then dies after like a minute or 2.

Mine does die with the IAC unplugged. Car runs perfect except for the stupid oil leaks. I think my cam sensor is getting killed by one.

SHO doesnt idle

I bought a 95 SHO and its not wanting to run right its not idling in kills itself and when your driving its lacking power
