i was on the interstate a couple days ago and had the cruise set at 75 mph. then all of a sudden it seemed as tho the car was put in neutral and the RPMs went straight to 7200.i cant remember for sure if it acted like it kicked down into a different gear i think it might have. but i applied the brakes and slowed down to 55mph RIGHT AWAY. and gradualy got back up to 75mph. on my way home i set the cruise at 75mph and it didnt act up at all! fyi the trip is 35 miles to and from the destination that i was traveling. once i got back to my home town i parked the SHO. later that night about 5 hours later i went to start it up and it started fine and ran fine. i went to pick up a friend to drive around for a while and i wanted to see if it would actup again so i floored it up to 90 mph then slowed down for a stop sign. at the stop sign the rpms were jumpy from 1000 - 2000 RPM then it kept doin that at ever stop i made. finally i was 2 block from my appartment and then it just DIED! i tried re-starting it several times but wouldnt finally on about the 6th try it satarted but the RPM's were jumpy and then it just died with the cooling fan turning on and the fuel pump staying on while the car dies. my friend and i pushed the SHO to my appartment and continued to try and start it it would start once in a while but only stay running for a few seconds while the RPM's would jump then it would just all of a sudden die then cooling fan would come on and fuel pump would stay running when the RPM's would jump it could would soung like its choking. then the next morning i went to start it it started on the first try after a few seconds the rpms jumped a little bit but the car did not die! so i thought i would try starting it a few hours later, it started fine rpms DID NOT jump and it has been a couple days after that whole problem and its running GREAT now. can somebody please help me ?!?!?
