When I first heard of this my interest was high. What info I could find was limited and the SHOsource thread was gone. You old timers know a majority of this and how to, so this is for the junior members.

Instead of going to the salvage yard, I got what was needed from Auto Zone for about $15.00.

I bought new 3357 bulbs because mine were getting foggy. The socket is the 85802 for the 1157 bulb. I had to get the 2057's due to no 1157's in stock. Don't forget the bulb grease.
The first step is a pain in the neck. You have three clips on each lamp that hold the assembly in place. *BE CAREFUL the clips are very easy to break. Get extras from the junk yard if you can.

The way I did the tops was with a flat head and gently wiggled them until the were loose enough to pull. They usually snap at the top by the slot. I was lucky, none broke, but I had extras I grabbed earlier from the J-Y.
The lowers, I used an old coat hanger. At this point, gently wiggle the lamps until the black adj caps pull free/Straight forward and out.

Now that the lights are removed, I unscrewed the tanks to be modified. Easier to work on this way. Now is also a good time to restore/clean all the lenses if needed. I was lucky, mine are like new.

I used a 1 1/4 hole saw to drill out the opening. I picked a spot just above dead center and made the cut. My shop vac nozzle also fit so I could suck all the debris out

The tank housing is mirrored, which is a good thing.

These generic sockets have clips that will hold it in place in the lamp housing. At this point I used some Black silicone sealant to secure and help keep the socket in place.

As you can see, they fit in real nice
*OPTION If you want a real bright light, solder a tab across both contact points on the bulb. It will be insanely bright. Then figure a way to ground it. I didn't. I used one wire for power and the other for ground.

Put the assembly back together and re-install on your SHO

Now is the time to determine how you will power the new lights. I have read that other members had all types of screwy issues. So this step is important. I got my 12v test light out and began to look for the parking light (only) wire, not the blinker. In the wire harness to the front P-light/blinker are three wires. I determined the middle or brown wire was the P-light. the green was the blinker. With a wire couple, I made the connection. * don't forget to run the new light wire into the coupler before you crimp the coupler! I grounded the other wire to an existing ground located on the frame above the radiator.

Now is the time to make sure everything works and causes no un-wanted changes such as blinking or interior light/dash light issues.

If all is good you are about done. The next step is the fog light mod with only P-lights on.
The fog light mod is very simple and straight forward. The next two images are courtesy of our forum. I thank you in advance.

Cut the red wire and cap the end from the harness. Put the red wire from the switch and couple it to the blue/red wire. That's it. I hope this will be help for newer members wanting to do this mod. I think it turned out great and looks incredible at night.
