What is the best way to get rid of the air conditioner unit. I want the weight off and horse power gain for track use .. I've seen pulleys on ebay but is there a better way of doing it?

Either, gut the compressor and run a shorter belt, or...

Remove the compressor completely, and run a shorter belt.

You will have to fabricate a plate to bolt in place of the compressor though, as it is an integral part to the front motor mount.

You wont gain any horse power for removing it as it doesn't rob horse power when off. So it will only be for weight loss.

You need to gut the compressor as it is a structural member.
