Im wondering what the dealer can update like alot of the tsb's have reprogramming. Like the steering(drift/pull), transmission update for shift flare. Im suprised they dont auto update all that stuff.

the dealer should be able to do all of those re-flash things for you.

they don't auto-update because the pcm is non-functional for the few minutes it takes to reflash it, so you obviously cannot do that while the car is driving...

But, unless the updates fix something that is a safety concern and covered under a recall, the dealer will likely charge you to perform the updates if the car is out of warranty. So you might not want to just drive in to the dealer and ask them to update all the software and firmware for your car unless you are experiencing issues or have a few hundred dollars that you want to get rid of.

if i didnt have such a early build 2010 i wouldnt be worried lol

I had a 2010 and I updated all the modules at my shop last year before I sold it and honestly didn't notice any difference. It however did fix a blind spot fault I kept getting.

this is another reason I recommend you take your car to the Lincoln dealer not the Ford dealer for service. not only do half of the Lincoln vehicle have the EcoBoost 3.5, so they are familiar with it, but they typically do these little service things at no charge because that is how a luxury client expects to get treated.
