most likely you killed the clockspring when you changed the wheel. If the clockspring is shorted out, none of that stuff will work.

(btw, how do you know the airbag doesn't work???)

code 32 is for the driver's airbag having a problem.

the clockspring is the device at the top of the steering column that allows the steering wheel to turn while keeping the various wires connected to the rest of the car. it is quite fragile, and if it got turned while you had the wheel off, then it is likely broken (has broken wires) inside it. in my experience, it has to be replaced, but sperold thinks you can repair it depending on how it is broken.

My advice on repairing is theoretical.
There are a few U-Tube videos on how to do it that seemed do-able, and I was prepared to give it a try.
If you can get another one, that is your easiest route, as long as you center it properly when installing it. A new one will have a lock on it that has it centered.
On mine, that little plastic yellow piece was detached from the ribbon spool and I had to reattach it with some glue.

you need to find one that has the same steering wheel controls. even then, as I recall there are two different versions.

if you get one from the junk yard, then make sure the wheels are straight ahead when you take the wheel off, and make sure you do not rotate the clockspring at any time while it is off. then, set the wheels straight ahead on your car and r/r the wheel and clockspring. if you do that, you should not damage the "new" used clockspring.

Your best bet is to go on E-Bay with the part number and there will be some for sale. Use the part number on your unit.
If the GL was made in Atlanta, there is a good chance it will have the same number, but that is a lot of effort for something that may not work out.
They are available new, but are expensive.
