Dead temp gauge

I have no working temp gauge, the prvious owner said he changed out the sensor (sending unit) Is there a way to test it to see if it works or not??

mine takes forever to move, like 10 miles or more, don't know if that helps or not.

No cause mine don't work at all, and it's a pain not knowing your engine temp!!

If you pull the wire off with the key on it should read cold. If you ground the wire it should read hot. Probably a bad wire.

There's a different sensor for the ECU signal, that control the fan, and one for the gauge itself.

Ok so the one for the gauge is the wire coming of the sending unit??
