I bought this car recently and I guess it has day light driving lights because when I start the car they come on. Any ways Im guessing that the head lights are only suppose to come on and not the tail lights until you manually turn the lights on right. Well my tail lights come on with the light switch off if this is wrong let me know how to fix this.

Thanks

Sounds like you autolamps are on and the sensor on the dash is bad so it thinks it's always dark. If you want to fix it, look into issues with this sensor first, you car does not have DRLs as far as I know.

Personally, I'd look to fixing it or simply turn autolamps off. I don't like having taillights on unless it's dark out; with these old taillights I want them off during the day to help distinguish between brakes and no brakes - it's sometimes needed in certain light with these old tails.

Are the tail lights on too? If so it's the headlight on for a reason. Daytime Driving Lights go through a module that reduces the voltage and runs through the hi beams.

The Head lights And Tail lights turn on day or night. I don’t plan to fix the auto lamps I just want to disable them and then turn the lights on manually.

If indeed you truly have Day Time Running lights then it needs a jumper put in where the DRL module is.

I have one if you need it.

They are not daylight driving light b/c there is an auto lamp switch but it was not working apparently. I thought it was more completed then just fixing the switch so I dug in to the dash and found that it was broken so I replaced it and now they work the way they are suppose to so that’s fixed
Thanks for the help.
