Dave called me last night. He updated me on his trip. He was getting tires as of 6pm, they had flushed the coolant and gave it a once over. He may have hit the road last night, but also said he may hang out for the night. That's all I know right now!

Yeah, it was a bitter sweet day for me. Mitzi was happy though.

We flushed that red crap out of the engine 3 or 4 times and the water was still coming out a pinkish color.

We check all the brake calipers for tightness to their mounts and the pads were all brand new.

Amazingly, the AC still blows ice cold. We rolled down the window nets so they wouldn't draw too much attention from the County Mounties...not that the orange paint, stickers, and a big white 99 plastered all over the car keeps it in "sleeper" status very much...

If you see a pumpkin along the side of I-40, stop and give them a hand.

We had a good drive to Flagstaff last night, no problems. The new tires feel good, the temperature level is right where it's supposed to be. We are heading east on I-40 this morning, hope to see the Petrified Forest, and then on through Albuquerque.

Haven't had much of a chance for photo ops yet, things have been busy. I plan on taking pictures today. We'll keep you guys informed.

Tom, thanks for all your work on the car to get us going and for your great hospitality.

Great, because the warranty expired when Joyce rolled down the window. I'm sure you meant NM and not MN.

Awesome pics, that brings up so many memories of all the trips I've take through there.

Where are you going and what route are you taking?

EDIT: Guess I didn't realize Tom sold the last pumpkin? An era has ended! I still have a good pic of all three before anything had been done to them. Heck, I was robbing parts off them to test on my car when I was given stage 2 cams!

We are taking I-40 to I-44 into St. Louis.
Do you have any other photos of the cars, I would like replace the stickers.
Most of mine are really faded or missing.

I'll keep looking (fire up a different computer tomorrow). I'm sure I have a lot of pictures. I think these ones above were taken in 2004. I didn't look to see you were going back to MO, thought you might pass through here. If you're interested, you should bring it to Kansas City for Ford Fest. I think we're going to all be there (posted in the Nebraska forum) for the event. I'm planning on making it, as long as more SHO guys are coming.

We are currently North of Tuson, OK. We have a stop to make just inside of Kansas then on to St. Louis. We've put 1260 miles on the car so far, we should be home tomorrow afternoon.

We're pretty good at keeping secrets 'round here.

Yeah. First I thought it was going to be a MTX Gen III, then Dave told me track car. I figured it would be a stripped down car, more than a certain white car, he could take out for fun. Didnt think it was actually going to be something like this.

So the STLSHO group at Fords Unlimited should have a very nice selection of SHOs.

Yes they are, and I'm typing from home. It was a 1700.1 mile trip with the stops we made.
After sitting for 5 years number 99 drove 1700 miles as if she was just driven off the lot.

Number 99 I :salute: you.

Tom thanks for all your help you are one stand-up guy.

Bring it out to Ford Fest in August!

Are you going to swap an MTX in it?
