I originally had tan interior, but now I am in the process of converting to BLACK!
So a friend and i swapped my tan cracked up dash with a mint black on....it wasn't that bad actually but my DASH LIGHTS (the ones that come on when you turn your headlights on) dont work......we checked everything without pulling it back out...
whats the problem here??? Any obvious wire that i missed?

I will check the fuses and stuff again. Dimmer switch was the first thing i checked....and i checked it over and over trying to fool myself that it would be that easy lol.
Both dashes are 1992 mtx.....and i kept everything (wires and all) from the tan original dash.

It's possible that both dimmers are bad... maybe?

Possibly..but the mocha dimmer worked hours before the dash swap.

The only other prob with the swap is the black dash is slightly off about 1/4 to 1/2 inch to the right by the passenger side...not to big a deal except the side is starting to show wear from the door panel barely rubbing

if you have access to a volt/ohm meter you should start checking your wires
