dash speakers??

I was on crutchfield today just double checking the speaker sizes on the SHO (dun werry i would never buy from them way too over priced). And when i checked out the jbl system and what not is says that there are 3.5" speakers in the dash...apprently i was not aware of this. Can anyone confirm or deny this

I had my dash completely apart and never saw any speakers there. Not factory anyhow.

Not sure where they get this info. I would have to deny their claim.

there used to be 3.5 inch speakers (tweaters) up where the eye sensor is for the automatic headlights.
I had them in my 90 sable and in my brothers 90 SHO....i know they dropped them and stopped putting them in around 92 or so....i think it when the gen 2 came out....a little diff body style and they got rid of them

i loved them personally...they would hit the highs like no other...

its a shame they got rid of them....

You can always put 3.5" speakers up their or put a set of tweeters with yuor components. The Sable never came with 3.5" speakers but I bought a pair of Rockford Fosgates with some 600 hz crossover and they sounded very good.

My sable didnt come with them, but it had the cutouts and the grills up there for them....so of course i had to add them! thumbs_u

ok kool i will check tomorow kause i have a 90 SHO so i guess they shoud be there...and your right my front sound stage sounds excelent

I also have a '90 and my plan is to put tweeters in the dash and mids in the doors. Or leave the doors just the way they are. (although i would disconect the mylar tweeters, ya don't want to overpower the treble just yet.)
