dash removal questions

ok got the black dash out of the 93 is there a way to swap just the pads ?

i really don't want to weed all the wiring out of the old dash if I don't have to.:nut:


the black dash had some wires cut and i really don't trust that harness .

Taking the wiring out isn't that hard, compared to all you've been through to get the dash out... When you say 'swap the pads' do you mean just the dash skin? Because you cannot do that - its molded onto the metal framework.

No, it is just screwed onto the metal frame.

I've done the dash swap twice now. Both times we pulled the harnesses out of the dash. The only really hard part of fishing the harness is where it goes above the radio.

I was lucky for my car since I don't use any of that wiring anymore. :biggrin:

I want to do an interior swap on my 94. How do you get the dash out and swap it because thats probably the hardest part.. Thanks!!

I strongly suggest getting a service manual to do a dash swap - it will show you where all the fasteners are and where to disconnect wiring harnesses to get it out.
