Dash Lights Out

I have checked earlier posts and have come up with no solutions, but my dash lights aren't coming on in another 89 SHO that I have. The lights come on outside and the turn signals work, etc. Could it be the actual headlight switch, the turn signal stalk, the dimmer?? Any advice where to start looking? Thanks!

Well I took out the radio today because it didn't work when I got the car. Here the guy who owned it before my did a botch job on wiring up the radio. The wires were bare and shorting out the dash lights. I pulled the wires out and replaced the fuse and the lights worked. Unfortunately I am going to have to rewired the radio right this time. What a pain! shoot
