So I have no lights on my Dash or the Buttons on my stock Tape deck. It is definitely not a fuse. Hmm After I reinstalled my Tape deck (CD player stolen) and after I had the Driver's Window Replaced. When Im driving at night with my lights on I can't see how fast Im going / Tach. / Fuel and engine Temp gauges. So there must be a circuitry problem? Maybe I shorted something when Reinstalling Tape deck? The tape deck works perfectly fine and All wires are Connected securley and properly for sure. I was Just wondering if anyone has any solutions, Or if I should have a mechanic fix this Electrical problem.

Do any of the dash light in anything work, EATC clock, ect. or is your problem just limited to the instriments and the radio? First check you dimmer switch and make sute its not turned all the way down, if its not turn it up and down a few times. I had a dead spot in mine and it would make the dash like go out unless the interior lights were on. If that does not do it there is a dimming relay that controls some of the dash lights. Check it to see if its working properly. And triple check the fuses, make sur nothing is corroded and the terminals are ont broken.

Also, there could just be some burnt out bulbs back there. I'm sure the thieves were thinking about being nice to the car while they were taking the CD player. How were the wires and dash after the theft?

It is funny that my 93 did the same thing after my brother tried to install an aftermarket CD player. I haven't tried to reinstall the factory one yet though. I just lost dash lights, but I do have my ECC lights, defrost indicator, and some of the other lights like OD off indicator, high beams, etc, also work. I guess I need to break down and reinstall the factory deck, and recheck the 15a fuse in charge of all the dash lights.
Mine was fried, and continued to fry itself without the factory deck reinstalled and the aftermarked CD deck removed. Must be tied together in my book.

Inreply's to questions above, I did Fidgit with the Dimmer pretty well, still nothing. And the wires to my Audio system after the CD player was stolen was a pretty clean Job.

K so here's an update and about all the Info I can think of. First of EATC works just not the Illuminated buttons that would go on , when lights are in park or headlamps, same thing for Clock / Instrument Cluster panel.
According to my Service manual, although I have not done any Specific testing with a Voltage meter. I believe Im going to find the problem pointing to. (Begin FORD TEXT) Service open in 19 (LB/R). Restore system. Retest system (End Ford Text). SO what does that mean to do anyways? change wires??? The wire would be was shorted and will be disconneted somewhere??
