Dash bulbs !!

Hey guys just looking for a bit of help... I have some bulbs that burned oiut in my dash and would like to replacce them.. Does anyone know what kind of bulbs they take and or bulb numbers and how many bulbs there are !!

Which bulbs, the ones behind the speed/tach/idiot lights or the ones in the clock and switches?

I think they are the same as on my 89. Common AZ or Advance auto bulb. Look in book. Push in type. With the cluster removed change them all. About 12 - 15 of the little buggers.

the bulb numbers are 194 or 168 or any bulbs that look the same shape.

I am thinking of changing the color while I am at it...Maybe blue or something .. What do you guys think My car is green

what are they for? are they for gauge illumination? those are hard to change but can be done without removing the speedo cable, and the warning instrumentation can be removed with a piece of electrical tape wrapped around the bulb (using a flathead screwdriver) and a needle nose pliers... least thats how i did it

You can change the color of the bulbs, but the diffusers built into the gauges are what colors the light, not the bulbs, so I doubt you'd see any real difference. And aren't they blue already? Or do you mean VW blue...
