93 ATX SHO, I replaced the tranny inlet hose and the adapter due to leak from the broken metal hose section and the worn of plastic clip of the adapter. Overtighted and the thread on the tranny inlet damaged and came out with the adapter when I pulled the adapter back out. Now it is leaking.

With the tight space there, tap a new thread is not that easy. What are the other options? Use tape to wrap the adapter and wish it will work? Those thread repair material in the auto part stores will work on the aluminum?

Use some 1/4" mNPT x 3/8" hose barbs. Then replace the steel lines with rubber hose.
