Im noticing ALOT that most of you with lowering springs have removed a coil from it. Now Ive genuinely never done this as ive always been a function>form type guy when dealing with mustangs but I want this car to LOOK good. Out of what end are you all removing the coil from? I took apart my front struts as Im replacing them right now and I imagine it has to be out of the bottom little coils or atleast it looks that way to me. As it stands I need to find some springs for my car Id like some used ones so if you have some you dont want let me know =) :swing:

You cut the dead coils, the ones that compress together and really do nothing. If you cut the bottom coils the spring will no longer fit the strut either.

I've removed both dead coil on my front eibachs. Now the spring is loose when the car is in the air, and the suspention travel is limited. I can't cut them anymore.
Still not low enough for me.

I wouldn't cut stock springs imho.. but as Marcel said, the dead coils at the top can go. My car is intrax minus one coil up front and its low and harsh.
