cut e-brake cable

I was replacing my rear strut on my 92 and i forgot to run the parking brake cable underneath the hub. Instead of taking the strut out again, would cutting the cable do any damage? Please help

What is your goal with the cable, are you wanting to re-route the cable and still use it? If so, just disconnect it from the caliper and remove the c-clip so it can slide out. If you cut the cable, it will no longer be useful. You can cut through them with a pair of snips.
