I've done a search and seen a couple posted here on the board, but it was a while back, so I'm kinda calling out to see if maybe some body has done something since those older threads. I've got a spare intake I'm looking to paint or coat, and my cover looks bad, so I'm just fishing for ideas. Also, is there a coater service that the board members generally use? I'd like to support the community and all.

I used Jet Hot silver ceramic coating for the metal parts, looks good, is durable and rejects heat.

some definately nice looking setups there. I see black is a common theme for the engine covers, are there any others out there?

There are some really nice looking engines out there, I am repainting my cover now 'cuz mine looks like crap now.
I know that powdercoating is probably the way to go, but can you get by with painting the intake with high temp engine paint?

Of the runners that are posted here, are there any that are painted or have they all been powder coated?

I'm sure some of those runners are painted, as I'm sure you know any painting, cleaning and prep will help the paint stick and look great as well. Powdercoating is nice because of the chip resistance, and with the ceramic coating, you get the benefits of thermal shielding as well. Personally I'm a little undecided...I'd like to ceramic coat, but because of the cost of the ceramic coating process, and that I'm going to be having the manifolds done after I "clean" them up inside, I'm considering painting.
