the clear lense it the biggest obsticale.. and NO ONE makes any.. thats crap... I just dont under stand why ford gave the slos the nice disco ball headlights and the the shos got stuff with these ugly things

If we can get someone to make a clear lens i can make retrofits using real projectors like this here.

Of course this isnt a SHO but it shows what can be done if you have a clear lens to start.

Lol! I already test fit these on my 93' since My buddy had them on his 96' Maxima. They would look wicked and will need some fender welding to take up the extra space. I think a set of regular Taurus fenders would work pretty good to take up the fender gap. The front will need a custom grill too. But the are the right shape and curves. I'll have to dig the pix up when I get home.

Also note that they will slide closer to the SHO's grill if the black hard seal was cut or removed. I fit these without the header panel installed since it was in the body shop anyways. A set of eyelids mad of fiberglass would fill in the angles gap between the grill, hood and headlights.

What about swapping Taurus fenders? Might help make the fender easier to deal with when filling.

Adam Varney's custom setup looks pretty cool and deals with gaps and custom lights. Wonder if it can be replicated easily? Well, easily might be an optimistic word.

So these lights are for a 96 Maxima? They look so good in that second pic set I might just get a set of Taurus fenders and attempt to do the swap!

It comes down to what you want: pimptastic looks or functional driving light. Most of the aftermarket stuff is pure junk.

The best method I've seen to increase visibility at night is Flaming Taco's (AfterSHOck?) project that he started years back. Take a pair of stock headlights, cut a couple ~2.5" holes in each one, epoxy in some pieces of PVC pipe, smooth them out, and paint. The pipe you use should have the same ID as the OD of the Hella projectors. Mount the projectors to the pipe, and install the headlights on the car. Cheap, simple, and uses the factory aiming studs. He used to have an Angelfire page with pictures and stuff, but I can't find it.

i had an idea i parked next to a Cadillac STS or CTS anyway it was a '99 Cadillac the headlights look to be same size. Its the headlight that has the whole piece that wraps around it. Its not seperate just one big piece ill see if i can find a pic... but anyway it looks like it would fit and its also a very nice look...

THe Cadillac lights won't fit. They're too deep. That's really the problem with our shos. There's no depth to work with.

i think they will with a little cutting im just curious as to the fit of the length and height. i wanna get a hold of some i have extra hood, header panels, and front bumper to mock it up ill go to a yard and see if i can find some.
