cruise control

my cruise control hasnt worked since the day i got my car (9 days ago)....i didnt get the owners manual w/ my car...i have a 93 atx sho...does nebody know wut fuze controls the cruise control or wut could be wrong with it..tkx

The cable that fits onto the throttle body has a way of popping off. Check to see if that's the problem. Just move the throttle by hand to get the cable back on. You can secure it with some cable ties to prevent it from popping off in the future.

Does your horn work properly? If not, start checking the steering wheel and the clock spring assy.

You can download a copy of the electrical diagram from http://www.ford-taurus.narod.ru/

Select 1993 and get diagram # 13.

The site is in Russian and is slow, so be patient. Right click on the diagram's filename as do a "save target as.." to download the .pdf file to your computer. If you decide to download all of the diagrams to your system, be aware that the server on the other end only allows 4 concurrent file transfers per user, so you have to be patient to get them all.
