cruise control

I got the cruise fixed. It was the clock spring. My cruise control had quit working. The air bag light has flashed every once in a while ever since I bought the car. Then it got to where it was flashing anytime the switch was on. This is when the cruise control quit working. I didn't relate the 2 until I was talking to a friend about it. He said if the air bag light was flashing it could be the clock spring and the clock spring could be the problem with the cruise. I pulled the one off my parts car and checked it out with an ohm meter. It looked good. Put it on and it all works again.

My brother's cruise is inop. in the 95. No SRS/airbag light, and the horn works. Guess I'll need to drag out the shop manual and start the diagnosing process. Oh and it's not the simple line connected to the TB that can sometimes pop off.

Good troubleshooting! It's always good practice, when two separate systems are malfunctioning at the same time, to look for any places they intersect, and to look there first.
