When I bought my '95 ATX the cruise wasn't working, but I thought nothing of it at first. Last week I got a cruise control module from a SHO in the j/y and swapped it into mine. Well, it didn't work either. I have checked all of my fuses, my brake lights are working so I doubt it's the BOO switch. Any other suggestions on what might fix this?

I'd unplug the switch on the bottom of the master cylinder, jump it and see if it works. You can do this on jackstands if youre careful. (the making sure it works part)

- James

PS: It has had the recall done, so double check the fuse in the jumper harness to the switch. (You'll see it when you find that switch)

No, I had the dealer replace mine! The Recall replaces the harness (with fusible links), but not the switch. My switch died.

Anyway, an easy test for the clockspring is whether or not your horn works.

I know the horn works ha ha! I'm going to check what James told me to, then I'll check the switches.

Its mounted on the bottom side of where you put brake fluid in...

Aight, I knew where the cylinder was, just not where to look. Thanks!

I never had an issue with the horn blowing, but the air bag light kept flashing all the time. So I pulled the clockspring and checked all the wires in and out of it. One of the wires was not conducting so I replaced it with an used clockspring that checked good. The airbag light quite flashing all the time and the cruise started working again. I just used an ohm meter to check the clockspring.
