Crimped heater hose

Guys of course wedded SHO bliss doesn't last too long haha. Had a coolant leak from one of the molded heater hoses leaving the block and headed to the heater core. Here is what the hose/pipe looks like:


Now I've checked O'Reileys and they of course don't have the original piece, so what do I do with this? How do I fix it? Sorry for the large pick, not sure how to resize. Thanks gentlemen.

I took that metal line out a long time ago to avoid this issue they sell a rubber hose to replace it with

Cut the crimped section on both ends and replace with a piece of hose and some hose clamps.

i used wire snipps, needle nose plyers, and regular plyers oh and about an hour

Sawzall,hack saw,angle grinder any of these will make quick work of it.

Use an oxy/acy torch. Makes quick work of the hose... And the engine block if you need to do rod bearings.

Lmao@ LJ, Nah the hacksaw made easy work of it. Im flushing the coolant as we speak and ITCHIN to take a test drive.

I just fixed the same hose last week and wow, what a pain to get that bolt off!!!

I actually had the pipe itself fail(hole in it!?!), but aside from that bolt, it was fairly easy to do with the intake off. I think I have 3 or 4 of those pipes as spares right now too....lol

It's not affected. You just put new hose on the metal pipe.

Thanks K-Dawg, but now the other question I'm asking is how to get to that bolt that holds the tube to the engine for the Heater Inlet Tube?

So far I've only seen 1 person say they pulled the intake off! That it was easier that way. I'll do that if need be but I was trying to see if anyone had another way that was not that lengthy, well short of replace the whole tube with hose!!!
