Crappy thing is I am layed off and dont have the money for a new cable... anyonle know how to fix this for free/cheap?

hehe i would drive the TA but it has a spun bearing so ia stuck at the moment heh.. I may just sell the TA and get a rod kit and a clutch for the SHO

Rod sounds good, but the cable problem can be repaired. As far as I know, no one makes a repair kit for the bushing when it gets worn, I know Gil's and Martin's '92's have it. It made Martin almost total his dad's tool box, it was so sloppy he thought it was in neutral. I'd like to see someone drill out the pin and stick in a Nylon, Poly-urethane, or Aluminum bushing in it's place. I like the mechanical feel of the Z06 shifter over the standard C5 one, part of the reason is they took out the plastic bushings that made it feel rubbery, the other is it has an intirely different trannie over the standard C5. Just offering my thoughts, I know it doesn't help much if at all, but atleast I try.
