I lubed up the upper Speed-O cable and the back of the speedometer too. I thought I had my noisy, at speed, problem resolved. I found quite early, in my 6 hour drive to Laguna Seca that I had not. SO, about 12 hours later, I'm back, with a question.
if the speed-o is noisy and the range of vibration and noise worked it's way down from starting at the 70mph speed to the 40 mph speed, what do I really need to consider greasing the heck out of ? The back end of the gauge ? The lower cable section ? It just vibrated back and forth at about a 10 mph sweep.
That was an annoying drive.
