Three weeks ago my car starts missing very badly. I buy 8 spark plugs, install them in all 8 cylinders, and then move a new coil pack in #2 cylinder (computer said this was missing). Car was still missing - but not quite as bad, so i replace the suspected bad coil pack with a brand new one. Car is still missing, and it finally throws an SES light, well I check it out, it's the #3 cylinder now. So I take apart the intake, pull out the spark plug, and it's got a nice big crack down it, i didn't have a replacement one at the time, so i move a good one from the front to the back, and just swap em, but now i'm worried that something is causing it to crack. It just seems really funky that the second i replace the #2 cylinder the #3 goes bad, yet the #3 never was thrown the first time around (and with a new spark plug it shouldnt have mattered).
Is their something that causes a brand new spark plug to crack? I'm hoping it was me overtightening it or something like that, i'm worried that it's the engine causing it. I am gonna replace the bad spark plug tomorrow and see what that will do for me, hopefully i'll be misfire-less for the first time in weeks.
