Wondering if anyone knows what to ask for at the hardware store today to get replacement stainless steel screws for the crank sensor. I forgot the screws at home and they are stripped.

Search yielded no results.

Thanks

Just take the old ones with you. Find a nut that fits the thread then look at the size then go get some screws of that pitch and length and your good to go. My guess is there M4 or M5.

Im not sure, I tore it back down last night and got the harmonic balancer off. When I rotate the engine it doesnt look like its hitting but its hard to tell. I need to buy some screws and feeler gauge today but I forgot the old ones at home! (parents house where garage is) and the hardware store closes after work. That's why I asked for the size so I can get them today.

So if anyone knows the size please reply, otherwise Im gonna have to use the old ones again if I can get them back in.

I used some SS allen head screws (so I don't have to worry about stripping so much — course, shouldn't have to get in their tooo often).
