Hi, guys Sho Lemons team again (i will post pix tonight. sorry for welshing on that). We raced the Sho until she died, the reason of which I require help. The Crank Position Sensor (CPS) got rubbed thru by the timing belt. We are baffled to why this is and saw that the cable was routed by the timing belt, thru a mid-mounted timing belt cover. It's not the upper cover, or lower cover, but is there after both are removed. Same color, but not mentioned in the CPS replacement guide.
My question is, was this the proper routing? If so, did something fail and allow those two to contact? If not, what is the proper route for the cable???
Pictures attached are the cable rubbed thru and in the 2nd, the hand is pointing to the cover which the cable was behind with the timing belt.
