CPS Maybe? I NEED HELP FAST!

Okay I have done most of the searches on the forum but this one is really wierd. I got everything back installed in the car, she bucked a bit but eventually after wanting to die for the first 5 minutes, found an idle and ran fine for about 15-20 minutes.

All of a sudden she just dies. I mean DIES. Battery voltage is fine, but nothing. I mean I don't even get a click or anything. The car wont even fire at all, but the tach takes a nose dive down to "0" as soon as I attempt to fire it up. I checked all my lines and spark plugs/wires. I really don't want to have to tear into this motor again but it looks like I'll have to... :madflame:

I guess I should have just left the damn thing stock..that is what I get for trying to mod. Funny thing is that I wasn't even down around the CPS at all. Except to pull off the crank pulley to remove the timing covers for painting. I am going to Oreillys to get one and we shall see if she will fire up after I get back.

Went to start the car one more time. With a jump she started right up. I guess it is electrical related but now the car won't idle AT ALL. I attempted to reset the idle but she won't do er.. I have double checked the connections, all lines are on, no vacuum leaks etc...DPFE sensor is good...no codes are being stored when she dies....EGR nostrils are clear....

I have no freakin idea... :madflame: :madflame: :madflame: :madflame:

I mean I don't even get a click or anything.

If that means the starter is not engaging, the CPS is a long way from being your problem. In this case, you need to focus on your primary starting circuit.

Which car?? You have several in your sig...

Found out the problem was surprisingly battery related, and after contacting Ted B., he said that my unstable idle, due to the UDPs being installed, is also very likely attributed to the bad battery...

I will get a new one tomorrow and see if that helps it...if not the chip can bump up the idle a bit in order for the 'seen' output from the alternator to be a bit more for the ignition system

The car I am speaking of is the 95 atx.....no longer stock... :naughty:
