Well I finally picked myself up a SHO :) Thanks to everyone who slid me emails when I was looking for one! I woulda bought Chuck's but I only had so much coming from the bank :( Anyways here's my position:
'94 MTX, 130k. Probably no 120k service done so I'm gonna have to do that soon anyway.
Anyways..sometimes when the car is running - something screwed up and it feels like the engine is only firing on 3 cylinders. The idle wavers up and down and it only feels like it fires half of the engine (or so - that's about the closest I can get to how it feels and sounds). It's completely random. Also - if it does this and I shut it off, it will not start - sometimes it will act like its going go catch but wont. Once it goes away it starts and runs just fine.
Today when I started my car, I got a check engine light and the tach didn't move for a few seconds - but the engine was running okay I think. Then the tach came back to life, the checkengine light shut off..and then the engine started runnign like shit again. It continued running like that for about three minutes. It never lasts that long - usually around five seconds to a minute at most. Completely random. Today as far as I can remember is the first time I've seen the tach unresponsive. Anyways, sorry for the ramble, but that's my problem.
Also..has anyone ever had oil leaks that never make it onto the ground? This thing either leaks or burns mad oil. But I never seen any on the ground, or from the exaust either I think.
(I know I gotta check for codes - it's been so damn hot out lately I havent wanted to be outside)
Thanks for readin guys (and gals!).

Sounds like classic crank sensor to me. If you're going in you might as well do the lower 60k while you're in there.

It wouldn't be the crankshaft position sensor. When that sensor fails, you don't get any spark. The engine just quits running and you coast to a stop. Your problem sounds more like the cylinder identification sensor or DIS module. Don't guess. Check those codes.
