I did a fuel pressure test on my 1990 SHO & got a reading of approx. 5 lbs with the key on engine off. With the engine running I got a reading of between 30 & 35 lbs, fluctuating a little as the engine was reved. Is this correct? I performed the test because of stumbling when I accelerated. Thanks in advance.

Im not sure of idle fuel pressure but I know the sho should have 39psi, sounds like you're a little low on pressure.

First chance I've had to get back on since posting the initial question. Could a partially clogged fuel filter be causing this somewhat low pressure or should I be prepared for changing out the fuel pump in the near future. Car still starts right up every time. A little slow when it has been driven and the engine is hot but still no real problems starting. The main reason for this question is the bogging I've been having on accelleration.

Thanks

FUEL PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS
Description Specification

Key ON Engine OFF 37-43 psi 255-297 kPa

Keep in mind that at KOEO the fuel pump only runs for 2-3 secs.
