I have ordered and received Autozone's (Timiken) hub and bearing set part # 520100, (for my '95 ATX). The studs on the hub are 1.5 in. long, these seems rather short to me, am I correct? Or is this the proper hub/bearing set, with the correct stud length. The studs just seem rather short to me.

Thanx, Doug

Yeah Speedy_91_SHO just did one of his wheel bearings with my old spindle and Perry's help to press the new bearing in. His studs were short too. They are short but they work. There's enough thread on there to get the lugs on and safely have them tightened down.

Yeah, they're short. I just put them on my 91 w/ slicers.

The lugs are only about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way on, but they spin on about 10 turns.

If you have the time, you could press the old studs off the old hubs and put them in the new ones.

(After I realized that the new ones were short I went "dumpster diving" for the old ones. They're big on recycling here, so luckily the metal dumpster wasn't too messy. :)

I still haven't taken the time to see how hard it is to chnage the studs............ madflame )
