cooling fan

is the cooling fan allowed to turn on whenever the heck it feels like it?? I hear the whine of it turning on when the temp gauge is in its normal spot.. low end of the temp gauge.. Either the temp gauge is not showing the correct temp. or the fan is turning on early.. The air was not running either.. Unless the LPM turns it on earlier, that i dont know.. thoughts? discuss.

At least one fan (since you have two) is always running when the climate control is in any position other than VENT and FLOOR. Is your A/C on?

i guess i should have clarified "the air was no on" meaning air conditioning was not on.. climate control was on the off.. It is really obivious when the 2nd one turns on "loud whine", but sitting there idling with the temp gauge so low seemed odd.. oh well.. just thought i would ask..

Might be the ECT sensor.
