Water pump and t-stat are 3 months old, Radiator is 2 years old. Coolant is also 3 months old. No leaks at all.

I parked my car and the overflow bottle went totally full and leaked by the top hose. The car was at operating temp before shut down. I started it again, and the car drank all the coolant in the tank, light turned ON.
I was thinking about the rad cap wasn't allowing pressure to release or something.

Any ideas ?

Before I read this I was thinking bad rad cap, you're supposed to replace those things every couple years so, my guess is yours is more then 2 years old so id just replace it, they cost less then 10 bucks;)

+1 on Radiator cap DEFINITELY!

I just had the same problem a couple of weeks ago, a bad cap isn't holding the pressure that it should be and it's letting most of your coolant out of the engine when you shut it down, onct it cools it sucks what is left out of your overflow and now you're low on coolant. a new cap should fix this:thumb:

+1 - and while you're at it, replace your gas cap; those are suppose to keep fumes from venting but they only last so long... I mean you might as well.
