Coolant lines on trans busted...HELP?

Ok i figured prob out... its the coolant lines on the trans, i took it to a dealership... the guy says its an 8 hr job because they gotta make " home made" coolant lines... so its gonna cost 800$ !!! any other way to fix em? or i can buy lines off some1 else? let me know

You must be talkin about the trans lines going into the radiator. Those are most likely need to be made.

Get a second or third opinion, that's awfully high just for the trans lines. You might want to consider getting the tranny fluid flush when u do get this done.

alright... because step dad = mechanic, he says he knows how to make em n **** for cheap like 50$ and of course i get no labor charge ~_~

Are you sure it's not the o-rings that need to be replaced? Mine leaked pretty bad and cost $0.79 to fix! There's two of them(o-rings), between the lines and trans, and they tend to leak down following the line which could possibly make you think it's the line itself.

Well i would get your dad to do it but you have to get ford lines because of the quick disconnect fittings. or save the lines going in and use a compression fitting to connect them to your new lines.
it would also be wise to purchase new quick connects from them as well
they leak all the time
another thing is save the fittings going into the rad they are speacial to
you'll see them when you remove the old lines
