Im finding coolant dripping off the front motor mount, oil pan bolts, and the A/C bracket. The car hasnt run since the end of the July and it just started leaking when the weather warms up. Im confused as to why its leaking one day then the next day it stops.
Could it be my water pump? Crossover tube?

I would think maybe its just the lower rad hose. A close inspection should pin point it.

Im seeing coolant dripping from above the hose. I think my leak is higher.

Check the radiator end tank seam for drips or the composite end tank for a crack. The water may be blowing back from the air flow while driving.

any way to re-seal the seams on the rad? mine does the same thing, and I've pinpointed the leak to the seal on the back of the rad(engine side) on the passenger side of the engine bay...

I havent been driving the car so dont think its the end tanks leaking. Its coming from the engine.

If I do a pressure test should a leak be anywhere? Before and after the thermostate.

Well, the only coolant line(s) that's near the places you described is the outflow tube from the motor to the radiator (runs right next to the motor mount) and the lines for the overflow. You sure it's not just spraying out from your radiator cap?

Im positative its not coming out of the radiator cap. Almost certain its not coming through the lower radiator hose. The oil han bolts and A/C bracket are higher up from where the lower radiator hose meets the metel tube. Im dripping from up there.

I havent ran the motor so there hasnt been any pressure in the system. So the coolant wasnt blowen up there by wind, or a pressurized spray.

Do a pressure test before you fire up the engine, and it should help you find the exact spot of the leak. If you don't have a tester, you can get one at Autozone for a $70 deposit, which they will refund to you when you bring it back.

One other place to check would be the coolant recovery bottle just to the right of the radiator cap. They have a habit of leaking while sitting still. I sealed mine with epoxy a couple of years ago, and it hasn't leaked since.

Good Luck.

I found the leak.

Im leaking coolant where the cast alum water outlet tube meats the waterpump. Is there a replacement gasket for this?

Is it me, or does the crank sensor harness look as if its riding on the bottom of the WP pulley along with the belt?

Also, yes you can get a replacement gasket for it. Comes in a set I think, which is apart of this PN: ES70425 from RockAuto, or Autozone (correct me if i'm wrong). I was under the assumption that, that thing almost NEVER leaked, or is my assumption WRONG? How many miles on it? Good luck! :thumb:

The crank sensor wires were unpluged and pulled out of the way to remove the timing cover, there just hanging there.

100% sure its leaking there. I can watch it drip ever 5 seconds. I delieve theres 25k miles since a full engine rebuild. It looks like someone applied some sort of gasket maker instead of installing the right gasket.

That gasket is part of the Fel-Pro ES70425 gasket kit that also includes the water pump housing gasket and the O-rings for the pump-to-block and pump outlet to the crossover tube to the water manifold on the driver side of the engine. From the ol' parts list....

Fel-Pro ES70425, RockAuto.com, $5.25
Fel-Pro ES70425, O’Reilly, $6.29
Fel-Pro ES70425, AutoZone/AZ.com, $5.49
