I recently learned that the SHO V6 has a slightly unusual coolant flow pattern (i.e. the water flows from the pump into the heads, and then into the block). Has anybody made a map or diagram of any kind showing the flow of coolant? I've got an example that was made for the turbo Ford cooling system:

I'm now looking for the same info. I've searched and can't find anything - does anyone have a coolant map for the '89 SHO?

My heater core is basically one big leak, so I've blocked it because I was told there was a bypass already in the system in case the heater core was blocked (and the above diagram confirms that). This gives me a small amount of heat from heat induction from the hot blocked hoses to the heater core. Now I'm not so sure that I should just connect the two hoses as a bypass.

Anyone have an official coolant flow map?
