Convention rooms going!

The big group has made their move and the main hotel (Marriott) is probably sold out except for Thursday and Friday. Call just to make sure.

Here is some advice:

1. If you want to stay at the Marriott, get on a waiting list if no rooms are available. Ask to speak to Tiffany in reservations (she is reservations Manager) and get on the waiting list. Because the other group took so many rooms, it is likely that they will release some before the event and you may still get a room.

2. If the Marriott can't get you in from the reserve list, then they WILL find you a room nearby, either in one of their other properties or a nearby hotel. They will do this at no extra charge and should get you a decent rate. Get a back up room just in case though.

3. I did secure about 35 extra rooms at the LaQuinta (again, this is a VERY short walk across the parking lot from the Marriott) that are for us only. This is a very nice motel with free breakfast and in the same complex/parking lot.

I've had reservations at the Marriot for some time now, but Im curious.... Who is the other big group?

Made my reservations about 2 weeks ago at the Marriot! :thumbs: all is good here. 2 SHO's for sure, possibly 3 or 4 even from Wisconsin comming here. CANT WAIT!!!
