The bottom line is that the auto-x just couldn't work out because of so few signups (the NHMS signups have been out-pacing the auto-x signups by more than 2-to-1). That combined with the cost of insuring both events was going to make it financially impossible to hold the auto-x without raising the price to a prohibitive amount.

Chris, could we wait for a bit before we dump the autox? I mean how many more do we need? The regs usually start kicking in a month before the convention and maybe we will pick some more up by that time.

The other problem is we would then not have any driving event on thursday which would be a real bummer.

Unfortunately, that is beyond the scope of my "authority". It's entirely Don's decision.

Again, it was a combination of factors that led to the cancellation and not just the scant registrations.

Typical, they seem to give up those 5-hole goals nowadays more than ever. Most of them goalies have the stick covering that spot so little now I sometimes wonder why they even have them.

Maybe having this form hosted on several sites would be beneficial?
