Everyone in the northeast planning on attending the convention, PLEASE SEND IN YOUR REGISTRATIONS ASAP!!!

The registration form can be downloaded HERE.

I realize that to some the last week in July still seems like it's really far away, but as of right now the only people from New England who have registered are Kirk, James, myself, plus 2 people from NY and 1 from NJ.

As the host club for the convention, it's important to SHOw the dedication of our members to support and attend the convention! It's even more critical in order to help efforts to get a 2010 SHO available for the convention as well as scheduling a guest speaker for the banquet.

As Don has mentioned in the past, even if you can't afford to pay right now it's important to get the registration forms filled out and submitted. If you're paying by check, he will accept a post-dated check (dated no later than June 1st if you want to get in before the price increase). If you are paying by credit/debit card you can just include a note telling Don when he can charge your card, and if you are paying by PayPal you can include a note indicating when he can expect payment.

Finally, I want to encourage as many people as possible to sign up for the road course event at NHMS. I know it's the most expensive convention expense beside the hotel, but it's also one of the most enjoyable events and even if you've never tracked your car before there will be plenty of volunteer instructors to teach you what you need to know to have a safe and fun time!

Thanks a million everyone! :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou:

I should know soon, I hope. I REALLY want to take the 04 on the track...especially if I get that SCT :D

I'm waiting to get a job and try to get the days off, is it possible to send in the money for everything but the road course and then send in the road course money at a later date.

I got approval of the vacation time today at work, so I will be mailing the form in this week, and then the check before June 1st. :)

I'm sure Don would let you work something out. The problem is these things are huge and most of us have gotten lazy and assumed we could do it last minute. Kalamazoo was in danger of cancellation because most took so long.

If you're not sure but have the dough, send it in. If you want to go but don't have the dough, send in for basic registration and pay as you go for everything else...

Yes, that is exactly what I did because I was in FL on vacation when I sent in my form and wanted to leave a little wiggle room in my finances while I was down there. So, I paid for everything except the road course along with a note to Don that I'll call him to authorize the additional charge for that on my card in a couple of weeks.

If that works for you that's fine, BUT, please (and this goes for anyone registering for any portion of the convention and are planning to pay later), PLEASE, PLEASE, follow through with payment. It would be a big mess if people register and say "I'll send you PayPal on June 1st" and then didn't follow through.

Aaron, read up on some of the threads over on the TCCA of some of the non-SHO guys that run at Gingerman and other tracks. I think they've probably got a better chance of being problem-free than most SHO's. Really a road course isn't a whole lot different from how we all drive on a daily basis, you just get to legally put a lot more speed into it! :thumb:

Thanks for the advice and I guess you never heard that I did do Gingerman last year at ROTB, the main problem is the suspension is making a noise like it has a hole somewhere and air is getting pushed in and out.

The tax return is going towards paying for everything but the road course.

Agreed. It's really worth registering and participating the whole week. :sun:

Short of that however, for people who want to just come to the car SHOw, registration will not be required. As for the drags, since it's just their regular street night and not limited to just convention attendees you don't have to register, but you will have to pay the spectators admission at NED to get in.

For all other convention activities, you must be registered.

Chris, just register. 60 bucks is all it is. That makes you a participant and able to come along on everything. Check the reg form out. 60, plus the Banquet, you are looking at sub 100 bucks for to be there, attend/spectate everything, and be a part of the banquet
