Can't locate the connectors on my 89 for installing the jumper wire so I can pull codes. I looked under the hood of my 91 and there they are. Any ideas? Someone cut them out of the harness? Harness doesn't look butchered.

The connecctors shoould be in the same place as the '91. There is a plastic cover they can snap into, though on most cars I've seen the cover is long gone. The cover is marked "eec iv test" or something similar, and is either free floating or attached to the firewall.

It is also possible the accidentally got tucked under the ground strap area if the intake has been off. Just ig around that area until you find the connector or the cut wires.

If they cut the connector off, you can get new ones at clipsandfasteners.com.

Found it. It was tucked way down there. Ran the test. Code 91 in memory and 41, 91 during the run test. Oxegen sensors?

There are many sources out the including the website I posted above that gives the meaning of the code. But I couldn't find a source that told me exactly how to fix the problem to get rid of the code. Do what I did, searched the forum for other people who got the same codes and what they did to fix the problems causing the codes. If you don't find exactly what you are looking for, post your codes. I am sure someone here has experienced the same codes.

you can clear all the codes by resetting the computer and checking again later.

Disconnect the battery, tap the brake peddle a few times then hold it down for about 15seconds to drain the capacitors. Reconnect battery and drive car like normal for a day. Next day check codes again.. should only by new stuff that car is still having problems with.

Thats the method I used at least.
