I just got my new B9B computer w/ LPM for my 90. I have had the current B9B1 computer out many times before with no problem. Well I go to take it out to put the new one in, and I cant get it to come out. The bolt comes all the way out and the comp. is still stuck in there. Is there some sort of double screw in there? If so, would putting some lock tite and then screwing it back in and trying it again work?
thanks for any ideas...

just did mine too; remember there are 2 plastic lock in tabs on each side of the computer; may have to jostle it side to side until it comes loose, and maybe eat an extra bowl of wheaties in the mornin'

There is nothing on the side of the comp that for the clips to catch. I tried prying the clips out of the we with screwdrivers and it still won't come out. It come out a little, but not all the way. Anything I overlooked? shrug rant headbang

If it's anything like a Gen. 2, a pair of adjustable pliers or a monkey wrench will grip the thing. Just make sure you have it real tight and pull. Trust me, it'll come out. It's most likely stuck on that gasket material.

I just don't want to rip the whole assembly through the firewall or break something. Then I would be really screwed!

spray the gasket area from the engine side with some type of silicone based spray lubricant. a quick shot and let it soak in, then the coumputer should slide out very very very easy. make sure you use something that will not breakdown the foam of the gasket, not WD40 or PB Blaster.
