I bought a newer engine to swap into my '94..but it's from an '89. I know most everything is the same, but in '94 (93?) they switched to R134a...My question is, can I use the compressor that came with the '89 engine with the rest of my system? Do I need to do anything to it?

TIA,

Jeremy

The compressors are identical, just the oil fill was different orignally back at the factory, and since you'll be refilling the system, you can use the appropriate PAG oil.

Ideally though, if you know the existing compressor in your car is good, then I'd take the time to swap it since the status of the '89 compressor is presumably completely unknown.
