Just figured I'd throw this out to anyone coming in from the West on I-90...
If you're coming in on Sunday afternoon, you can get into some heavy traffic on the Mass Pike(I-90), especially between I-84, in Sturbridge, and I-290, in Worcester. It's only 12 miles, but it can be 12 miles of bumper to bumper. There can also be a long line at the tolls.
If you're interested, there are some great driving routes to use as a bypass. One of my most traveled and favorite routes is Rte 2. Rte 2 starts in Boston and ends in Albany. Crossing into MA from NY on Rte 2 is a fun drive. Once you get out of North Adams, you get some really great vistas along with great driving. This route would not be recommended for SHOs with brake or overheating problems and I do not recommend going this route while trailering unless you're really good at it. This route can take tractor trailers so it can be done...
Here is the link from mapquest to the route. It is about 4 hours to the hotel according to this route. If you just followed the Interstate, it would be about 3 hours and 15 minutes. So it's 45 minutes longer...if there is no traffic on I-90.
